Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has issued 3,350 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with profiles in Canada's Express Entry system in a draw held April 17.
Candidates with scores as low as 451 received Invitation to Apply (ITA) during this draw.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break rule and the time stamp for the April 17 draw was January 9, 2019, at 07:35:09 UTC.
The tie-break means that all candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score above 451 as well as those with scores of 451 who submitted a profile before that date and time were issued an ITA in the April 17 as April 3 invitation round.
The Express Entry System is an online application management system for three of Canada's main economic immigration programs: The Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trade Class.
Profiles receive a score based on factors such as age, education, work experience and language abilities in one or both of Canada's official languages (English and French).
Once in the pool, candidates may take steps to improve their score and ranking.
All invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application to IRCC from the date of ITA receipt.
