Over the last two decades, the MPNP brought in more than 130,000 economic immigrants to Manitoba of whom more than 20% established themselves in regional communities throughout the province.

Each year, some 15,000 immigrants arrive in Manitoba. The outcomes for internationally experienced workers who immigrate through the MPNP are positive. According to a recent survey, 85 per cent of Manitoba nominees were working three months after arrival, 76 per cent were homeowners within five years and 95 per cent of families settled permanently in the community.
Business Investor Stream
The Business Investor Stream (BIS) allows Manitoba to recruit and nominate qualified business investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intent and ability to start or purchase businesses in Manitoba.

There are two pathways:

1- the Entrepreneur Pathway; for applicants seeking to open a business in Manitoba; and
2- the Farm Investor Pathway (FIP) for those intending to establish and operate a farm operation in rural Manitoba.

BIS allows Manitoba to recruit and nominate qualified business investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intent and ability to start or purchase businesses in Manitoba within the first 24 months of arrival in Canada on a temporary work permit. The renewed BIS will ensure that all business nominees invest in businesses that create jobs for Manitoba and contribute to the Manitoba economy.

Applicants will no longer be required to submit a deposit of $100,000 to the Manitoba government.

Individuals who wish to do business in Manitoba can do so through this stream. This process operates on an 'Expression of Interest' system, whereby prospective applicants submit their intention to apply to the program, and the most qualified are invited to apply for immigration.

 Research Visit

Both Manitoba BIS pathways operate on an Expression of Interest (EOI) system whereby prospective applicants submit their intention to apply before they can apply to the program. Whether a prospective applicant is interested in applying as an Entrepreneur or Farm Investor, the submission of an EOI is preceded by a research visit to the province.

The MPNP's interim process of completing online forms will end once the program's online application system is enhanced and ready to process applications through the system.

Whether you simply want to visit Manitoba to explore rich cultural history and natural beauty, come to Manitoba to work temporarily or immigrate to Manitoba province through one of the available program options.
